WHAT’s NEW
GROUNDS & LANDSCAPE COMMITTEE – Will be starting the following:
- Yard of the Month awards for different zones in the community
- Loaner Program for yard tools is being established
- A new FB page with tips on keeping yards beautiful and compliant with ACC guidelines.
- They will observe common areas and recommend improvements to landscape or new additions to amenities and fun activities like plant sales.
UPCOMINGEVENTS & MEETINGS
- COMMUNITY GARAGE SALE – THIS WEEKEND
- FORNEY CAREER EXPO –September 11th from 10:00am – 3:00pm at the OC Arena–free to job seekers and $50 for business owners looking for employees (see flyer below) sponsored by the Forney Chamber
- ADULT NIGHT AT THE MAIN POOL – September 28th from 6:00-11:00pm (see flyer below)
- BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING – October 2, at 6:30pm, notice will be emailed and posted.
- COMMUNITY SURVEY TO BE SENT –This will include the top five potential new amenities to understand homeowners’ thoughts on what you would like to have here at TR in the coming years.
- FLAGS OVER FORNEY –TheBoard approved sponsoring the Scouts for flags at our entrances. Each flag is installed and maintained by a Scout. They will come and present at the next Board meeting and we will share details on how the rest of the community can also be involved.
RECURRINGEVENTS
- DOG PARK - THURSDAYS AT THE DOG PARK –Every Thursday at 7pm will be a meet and greet. All attendees must be registered for the park and Volunteers from the Dog Park Committee will be there to assist in the registration process. 2215 Doole Court.
- RENTAL REMINDER – If you are not on the “grandfathered” list approved for leasing, you may not lease your property. We reached our 10% leasing cap in August of 2020. Leasing sites are monitored daily to violate/fine any unauthorized rentals.

UPDATES
- BOARD PRESENTATIONS POSTED –Please review the topics discussed: Travis Ranch HOA - Board Meetings
- VOTING – Homeowners will be voting on amending the CCRs: updated trash can rules (5’ back from the corner of the home); not requiring trees; adding paint colors for doors and additional roof colors as well as metal roofs. Stayed tuned for electronic and paper voting in the coming weeks. WE NEED 2700 VOTES TO PASS THE AMENDMENT!!!
- TEEN SECTION – we are waiting on the picnic tables to arrive – now September 19th.
- FM 740 COMMON FENCING – is completed! They will be picking up the remaining debris this weekend as the rain made the ground too soft and would have put ruts in our common area.
- COMMON FENCING AT RINGGOLD / LAKE RAY HUBBARD DRIVE – will be repaired as some sections are leaning away form homeowners side fencing from the storms and drought.
- NO SOLICITATION SIGNS – will be installed.
- ROAD HUMPS HAVE BEEN APPROVED AT FIELDCREST – on Old Oaks between Lasara Drive and Sunnyside Drive to reduce speeding and cut-through in the neighborhood to Hwy 80 – they will be installed in the coming months per MUD!!!
- 50/50 SIDEWALK REPAIR AGREEMENT – is being approved by MUD to enable the Association to manage the repairs after MUDs approval and then bill MUD and the homeowners their 50/50 portion – we will update once the agreement is completed and begin work on many in the community.
- SPEED LIMIT SIGNS – have been marked to be added to all entrances by MUD; additional stop signs will also be added in September.
- STILL: COLOMA/ TR BLVD – will be temporarily repaired with tar until a complete repair will be scheduled – MUD is trying to enforce the warranty on these new streets by the builders who poured them. Be careful in the area!!!
- STILL: 2ND POOL – is awaiting the power meter and then the plaster will be poured in the coming weeks.
